Everything inside your tenant, backed up and searchable.
DataShield protects mail, files, sites, chats and identity settings with incremental snapshots, then lets you restore them at the level you need: one item, one folder or a full account.
What we back up
Microsoft 365
- Exchange Online mailboxes, in-place archives, shared and resource mailboxes
- OneDrive for Business with file versions
- SharePoint Online sites, document libraries and lists
- Teams channels, posts, files and tabs
Google Workspace
- Gmail with labels and attachments
- My Drive and shared drives with sharing permissions
- Google Calendar events
- Contacts
Microsoft Entra ID
- Users and groups with attributes
- Conditional Access policies
- App registrations and role assignments
- Compare any two snapshots to see what changed
Retention policies with Object Lock
Set how often each group is backed up and how long snapshots are kept. Locked policies are written to immutable storage, so a snapshot cannot be shortened or deleted before it expires, even from the DataShield console.
Leavers can be moved to archived status: their data stays protected at a lower price after their license is removed.

Restore and export
- In place: put items back in the original mailbox, drive or site, skipping or overwriting existing copies.
- To a new location: restore into a dated folder so nothing current is touched.
- To another user: hand a leaver's mailbox or OneDrive to their manager.
- Download: mailboxes as PST, files and sites as ZIP with folder structure kept.
Restore jobs
- Operator restored 38 emails to /Restored 2026-10-21 Exchange Online, 1 min
- Admin moved leaver OneDrive to manager OneDrive, 11 min, 6,214 files
- Admin exported shared drive to ZIP Google Drive, 4.2 GB
- System skipped 2 files with newer versions SharePoint, in-place restore
A partner console for MSPs
See every customer tenant on one screen, sorted by what needs attention: expired admin consent, failed snapshots or licenses that have outgrown the plan. Technicians run restores per tenant with their own role, and each tenant is invoiced on its own line.

Getting started
- 01
Connect your tenant
A Global Admin or Super Admin grants consent through Microsoft or Google OAuth. No passwords are stored.
- 02
Choose users and policies
Protect everyone, or pick groups and organizational units. Assign snapshot frequency and retention per group.
- 03
Run the first full backup
The initial copy runs in the background with API throttling handled for you. Most tenants under 500 users finish within 72 hours.
- 04
Incremental from then on
Only changed items are copied after that. You get an email summary each morning and alerts when something needs attention.
Try it on your own tenant.
